Y5&6 Cross Country – 13th February

Roxeth’s cross country team took part in their second event of the season just before the half term break with a difficult cross country run around Shaftesbury Recreation Ground in Pinner. The conditions were wet and extremely muddy in places, so a huge well done to the following for their perseverance throughout, with all children finishing the course (even if their trainers didn’t cross the finishing line with them!!): Leila, Safia, and Jana in the Year 5 girls event; Aliza, Hayley and Phoebe in the Year 6 girls event; Eesa, Etienne and Ryan in the Year 5 boys event; and Ethan, Aryan and Marvin in the Year 6 boys event. With a little over a hundred children in attendance, some notable finishes worth a special mention were Etienne who finished in 7^th, Ethan placing in 6^th, Aliza finished 5^th and both Eesa and Safia finishing with a silver medal in second place in their races!
